ImagesGallery Nine: Edgar Bergen at Vent Haven opening (10 images)Edgar Bergen, the most famous ventriloquist of the 20th Century, was one of the many dignitaries who participated in the official opening of Vent Haven Museum on June 30, 1973. Bergen's presence, along with that of fellow vent Jimmy Nelson, added real star quality to the opening ceremony, and the Cincinnati-area media followed Bergen around Fort Mitchell, Kentucky during his entire trip. Below are some seldom-seen photos of Bergen's appearance at Vent Haven in June of '73, photos of everything from him stepping off the plane, to doing media interviews, to golfing, to cutting the ribbon that opened the museum and performing at the public dedication. (Other photos of the public dedication, including more photos of Bergen, can be seen by clicking this link.) Copyright 2007 Vent Haven Museum
