Trivia:
1. This figure was donated by Johnny Main's son, Johnny Main,
Jr.
2. Gutters joined the Vent Haven collection in October of 2003, and
was officially donated in July of 2004 during the 2004 ConVENTion.
3. Gutters was an alcoholic character, so named because he might be
found lying in the "gutter."
4. Ventriloquist Johnny Main lived from July 23, 1938 to September
20, 2003.
5. Main began performing ventriloquism at the age of 14, and was a
member of the Vent Haven Museum Board of Advisors.
6. Main's last performance with this figure was in May of 2003.
7. Main (whose real last name was Mianakian) was Vent Haven
ConVENTion Ventriloquist of the Year in 1981.
8. Gutters is on display in Building Two of the museum in a part of
the building that cannot be seen by either of the
Quicktime Virtual
Pans.
