Featured Figure:
Jerry

Created by: Theodore Mack and Sons

Used by: Al P. Saal

Trivia:
1. Jerry is dressed in a bell boy outfit with brass buttons and cap.
2. In addition to being a ventriloquist, Jerrys previous owner, Al P. Saal, was also a Shadowbox artist.
3. In letters back and forth between Saal and Vent Haven founder W.S. Berger, Berger stated how much he enjoyed shadowbox artists. As a result, when Saal sold this figure to Berger, he shipped it to Vent Haven wrapped in a sheet he had used in his shadowbox performances. Berger wrote that he was delighted.
4. According to the correspondence, Jerry was built circa 1918.
5. Jerry is on display in Building Three of the museum. He can be seen in
Quicktime Virtual Pan Number 3. After the page loads, "turn" to look behind you. Jerry is the first figure in the first row.
